Atlantic General Hospital Hosts Additional Free H1N1 and Seasonal Flu Clinics
01-28-2010
Atlantic General Hospital, in collaboration with the Worcester County Health
Department, is holding the next in a series of free community H1N1 vaccine
clinics in northern Worcester County on Thursday, February 4, Thursday,
February 18 and Thursday, March 4.
The flu clinics, which are for all adults and children ages six months
and older who wish to receive the vaccine, will be held in the main lobby
of Atlantic General Hospital from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on both dates. Both
the injected vaccine and flu mist will be available at this clinic.
A limited supply of the seasonal flu vaccine is also available for those
who wish to receive it, on a first come first served basis. Individuals
must be at least 13 years old to receive the seasonal flu vaccine. The
seasonal vaccine and the H1N1 vaccine can be received during the same visit.
As with the seasonal flu shot, the H1N1 flu shots are made from eggs.
If you are allergic to eggs, consult with your health care provider.
