Atlantic General Hospital announced today that Patricia Ilczuk-Lavanceau,
Shore native and active community volunteer, has joined the Atlantic General
Hospital Foundation.
A successful account executive with Comcast, Ilczuk-Lavanceau has made
it a point to serve her community as much as possible and is thrilled
to be part of the Foundation.
Her extensive involvement in community affairs – as well as her own
personal experience – has made her a powerful advocate of Atlantic
General Hospital and the initiatives they have undertaken to improve the
health of area residents.
Ilczuk-Lavanceau currently sits on the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce Board
of Directors where she serves as membership committee liaison. In addition,
she works with the American Cancer Society. As a member of the Ocean City
Parrotheads, she helps with the annual Mardi Gras fundraiser. She is also
a strong advocate of the organ donor program.
She has been a local campaign manager in four elections, has served on
the OC Boosters board and the board of the Worcester County Commission
for Women, and was a member of the Downtown Association board.
On January 1, 2008, Ilczuk-Lavanceau took the plunge in the ocean for the
AGH Annual Penguin Swim. In three weeks she raised over $13,000 in honor
of her husband, Andre; her goal was $12,020.04 to recognize the anniversary
date of Andre’s liver transplant in tribute to the great pre-transplant
treatment he received from Atlantic General Hospital. She will serve as
the event chair for the next Penguin Swim, scheduled for January 1, 2009.
