Atlantic General Hospital Reaches out on National Alcohol Screening Day
03-20-2006
As part of National Alcohol Screening Day on April 6, 2006, Atlantic General
Hospital will be providing outreach, anonymous screenings, and education
about alcohol’s effects on health to associates and the public.
Anyone who is concerned about a close friend or family member who may
be struggling with alcoholism is encouraged to attend.
Some of the information to be covered includes contact information for
local community support groups, how to recognize signs of alcoholism,
alcohol and prescription drug interaction, and how to find help.
The program will be presented by Atlantic General Hospital’s Visions
for Total Health in collaboration with the emergency department’s
ENCARE (Emergency Nurses Care) team.
The session will be held from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. in Conference Room
#2 of the hospital. No registration is required. For more information
about Alcohol Screening Day, please contact Leila McCann, Visions for
Total Health Coordinator, at 410-641-9268.
