Atlantic General Hospital Nurse Honored for Service
03-07-2006
Nicole House-Blanc, a staff nurse in the Ambulatory Surgery Center at Atlantic
General Hospital, was recently recognized for her healthcare service to
the community by the Maryland-Delaware-DC Moose chapter.
The chapter presented her with a plaque and statue in honor of her work
and provided coloring books and crayons for pediatric patients rendered
care at Atlantic General Hospital. These books describe what the Moose
is about and serve as a great learning tool for children to develop their
community ethics at an early age.
The pediatric materials were presented to Andi West-McCabe, Director of
the Emergency Department and Shirley Spirk, Director of Surgical Services.
“This is wonderful for our pediatric population,” said West-McCabe.
“Children are scared when they come to the hospital, and this allows
them to take home something fun and positive from their experience.”
“Nicole is an exceptional and versatile nurse whose devotion to
her job and patient care is evident every day, said Spirk. “She
is a superb caregiver and we are lucky to have her as a champion in our
department and community.”
